Work package description

WP6 has two objectives. Firstly, to connect institutions at executive/leadership level with IPSPs in their organisations and provide recommendations, guidelines, and strategies on how to support them locally. Furthermore, the WP will co-design actionable recommendations, and an implementation strategy for Funders, Sponsors and Donors (FSDs) to enable IPSPs to improve quality and sustainability, and policy makers to support IPSPs at the regional, national, and EU levels.

Deliverables

D6.1. Synergy report

Deadline: February 28, 2025

A synergy report built on the work of the other WPs mapping IPSPs to their host organisations. The typologies identified by the project will be used to identify various categories of institutions, which will inform how they are approached. Workshops will be organised to engage institutions, FSDs, and policymakers.

D6.2. Recommendations and Implementation Guidelines for institutions, for FSDs and Policymakers

Deadline: February 28, 2025

The recommendations and implementation guidelines for institutions (including learned societies), Funders, Sponsors, and Donors (FSDs) and policymakers will focus on funding strategies to support institutional Open Access publishing service providers. These recommendations will be co-designed with a representative sample of FSDs, including Science Europe member organisations and others at the local, regional, national, and European Union level. Engagement will be sought from institutional leadership to promote strategic buy-in as well as actionable and practical implementation.

Deadline: February 28, 2025

As part of D6.1, the Synergy Report draft will be shared and open to comment to the consortium by December 31, 2024.
