Aix-Marseille University is the largest multidisciplinary university in the whole of the French-speaking world, in terms of its student body, its faculty and staff, and its budget. AMU is home to 122 research facilities linked to France’s biggest research institutions (CNRS, INSERM, IRD, INRA, CEA). In the latest 2021 International Shanghai rankings, AMU is positioned as the 101st best universities in the world and in 5th place among the French universities.
