GraspOS, in collaboration with CRAFT-OA and DIAMAS, is organised a webinar to explore the evolving connection between scholarly publishing and research assessment. The session focused on how Diamond Open Access (OA) publishing and open infrastructures interact with ongoing reform efforts in research evaluation, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges of aligning non-profit publishing with emerging assessment models.
In particular, the discussion examined how infrastructures are being developed to support a more open approach to research assessment—enhancing the visibility of Diamond OA journals and aligning with broader efforts such as CoARA and the Barcelona Declaration. It also highlighted how emerging standards and practices help ensure the quality and credibility of non-profit publishing.
