CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: Focus group “Co-designing Diamond OA”

The DIAMAS project seeks participants for a focus group on “Co-designing Diamond OA recommendations and guidelines for institutional leaders”, which will organised by the European University Association (EUA) on Wednesday 13 March 2024 from 10:00 to 13:00 CET.

The focus group will bring together institutional practitioners from universities, research performing organisations and learned societies to discuss their needs and challenges in the transition to Diamond Open Access at institutional level. Their input will directly feed into the development of the “Diamond OA policy recommendations and guidelines for institutional leaders”, which we will publish in February 2025.

First results from the DIAMAS project, including the landscape report Institutional Publishing in the ERA: results from the DIAMAS survey and gap analysis, will be presented during the meeting and used as a basis to steer discussions.

The focus group will be comprised of approximately 30 participants, i.e. practitioners working in universities, other research performing organisations and learned societies. This may include managers of Institutional Publishers Service Providers (IPSPs), editors, research managers, librarians, and Open Science/Open Access coordinators.

Applicants will be selected based on their experience and expertise in institutional publishing activities and their motivation to attend. Special consideration will be given to ensuring a geographical and gender balance, as well as a diversity of experiences and institutional profiles.

Please find more information about the focus group here.

To apply to participate, please fill in the application form here by Friday 2 February.

All applicants will be informed of the results of the selection by Friday 1 March.
